Volunteer Opportunities

We will have volunteer opportunities every weekend in October and a final Get Out the Vote (GOTV) push the first weekend in November! We'll also be poll-greeting on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 5th) and we'll have an election watch party after the polls close!

Tuesday, October 15- 6:00 PM: Jace Yarbrough Speaker Presentation, followed by Cruz v. Allred Debate Watch Party

Thursday, October 17- 7:00PM "Abortion Hurts Women Voters" hosted by Project Destiny Amarillo

On Tuesday evening, conservative attorney Jace Yarbrough will be speaking to the Amarillo Area YRs at the Potter County GOP office (4217 SW 21st Ave). The discussion will be regarding how the Democrats' rising use of lawfare is affecting our country and the Dems' lawfare case against Trump in New York, and will also touch on the Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance found in Prop A. Afterward, the AAYRs will be hosting a debate watch party for the Cruz v. Allred Debate.

Tuesday, October 15- 12:00 PM: Prop A Ordinance Debate, Hosted by the Amarillo Federalist Society

The Amarillo Federalist Society is hosting a debate between conservative attorney Jace Yarbrough and liberal doctor Steve Urban about the Sanctuary City for the Unborn ordinance found in Amarillo Prop A- which the AAYRs have endorsed. Come learn more about the ordinance and why we support it! The event will be held at the Amarillo National Bank Plaza II (500 S. Taylor St), 2nd floor meeting room from 12:00-1:00 PM

Wednesday, October 16- 6:45 PM: Caroline Fairly and Ted Cruz at The Big Texan

Join us at the Big Texan Steak Ranch as fellow Amarillo Area YR and Republican nominee for Texas House District 87, Caroline Fairly, hosts Senator Ted Cruz to discuss the issues facing our state and nation in the upcoming general election. Doors will open at 6:00 PM and the event will officially start at 6:45.

Wondering how abortion hurts women and women voters? Come to Project Destiny Amarillo's panel discussion between: a pregnancy center director, a former abortion clinic worker, a former abortion clinic manager, a doctor of pharmacy, a local abortion survivor, and an abortion malpractice attorney from New Mexico. The event will be at the Comanche Trail Church of Christ (2700 SE 34th Ave) at 7:00 PM

Saturday, October 26- Halloween Social, Time and Location TBD

The Amarillo Area YRs will be hosting a Halloween Social on October 26 at a time and location TBD.

November 5th- Election Night Watch Party with the Randall County GOP,

The Amarillo Area YRs will be co-hosting an election night watch party with the Randall County Republican Party.
